Dr. Stella Khumalo Punungwe
Public Mental Health Specialist
Dr. Stella Punungwe Khumalo is the Founder of Queen of Peace Institute for Community Mental Health Innovations and Rehabilitation (PVO 28/13), established in 2006 to provide holistic mental health care and rehabilitation services in Zimbabwe. She holds a Doctorate in Public Mental Health, an Honorary Doctor of Science (DSci) from Open Christian University, a Master of Science in Mental Health Nursing, a Bachelor's in Psychology, and diplomas in General and Mental Health Nursing. Her notable achievements include coordinating the removal and rehabilitation of over 70 mentally ill individuals from the streets of Gweru, hosting the globally recognized 2009 World Mental Health Day, and leading large-scale community awareness campaigns against substance abuse.
Dr Blazio M Manobo
Vice Chairman
Dr Blazio M Manobo is a Social Scientist Researcher and Developemnt practitioner. He specializes in inclusivity research and programming. He has published several articles in theology and development. He sits on several Board of Directors contributing his vast knowledge to the improvement of mental Health programs. He is also a senior lecturer and strategist for youth programs.

Trevor M. Punungwe
Director - Information Technology & Youth Engagement
Trevor M. Punungwe oversees the digital transformation and youth-centered initiatives at Queen of Peace Rehabilitation Centre. With a background in data science and informatics, he leads the organization’s technology strategy, digital infrastructure, and innovation efforts, ensuring that mental health support services are accessible and efficient. Trevor also spearheads youth engagement programs, designing interventions that connect young people with rehabilitation, empowerment, and mental wellness resources through modern technology platforms.
Alington Mudzingwa
Board Member
Alington Mudzingwa is a visionary development strategist and advocate for inclusive mental health integration in community systems. As a Board Member of the Queen of Peace Institute, he contributes to institutional governance, strategic planning, and the advancement of evidence-based mental health initiatives across Zimbabwe. He is the Founder and CEO of ALIEUM Investments, a multi-sector enterprise focused on agriculture and sustainable livelihoods in rural Zimbabwe. His work emphasizes community empowerment, resilience-building, and the intersection of economic development with social impact. Alington has also served on the Board of Gweru Polytechnic, where he supported technical education advancement and institutional innovation. His cross-sector leadership reflects a deep commitment to holistic development, spanning mental health, education, and economic empowerment. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy at the School of Public Policy, Chiang Mai University in Thailand, with a focus on global development and institutional reform. He holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Local Governance Studies from Midlands State University and a National Diploma in Transport Management from Gweru Polytechnic. In 2021, Alington was honored as one of Zimbabwe’s Young Iconic Pace Setters by Zimbabwe Business Connect for his entrepreneurial vision and commitment to social transformation.
